Be prepared for your first session:

A list of any current medications

Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing (no lycra)

Make sure you're hydrated

Is Bowen Therapy a fascial treatment?

Bowen Therapy directly addresses the fascia. A treatment involves a series of gentle, cross fibre rolling techniques, with waiting times in-between moves. The waiting times give the brain time to receive the information to heal the area being addressed, then time to assimilate that information.

Is Bowen Therapy relaxing?

The first two, cross fibre rolls that we apply, take your body out of the "fight or flight' mode and put it into a "rest & repair" mode. The therapist keeps you in this lovely, relaxed state throughout the whole treatment, allowing the body to receive the best outcomes from the session.
